How do you use Canva Bulk Create?

Open a Canva design, add the Bulk Create app, upload a CSV where each row is a variant and columns map to text/image fields, then generate and download the batch. It is manual and capped for small jobs.

Canva Bulk Create generates multiple design variants from a spreadsheet without leaving the Canva editor.

Steps:

  1. Design your template with clear text and image elements you want to change
  2. Open Apps and find Bulk Create (Pro or Teams)
  3. Connect data via CSV upload (or supported sheet flows)
  4. Map columns to elements in the design
  5. Generate the batch and download results

Good for:

  • One-off batches (certificates, simple promo cards)
  • Teams who do not need an API
  • Jobs well under ~100 variants with text/image swaps only

Not good for:

  • Recurring weekly generation from live Sheets
  • Per-variant colors/fonts beyond basic swaps
  • Embedding generation inside a SaaS or n8n workflow

When you outgrow Bulk Create, import the same Canva template into Layerre and generate via API or Zapier/Make/n8n. See Bulk Create limits, Bulk Create vs API, and bulk images from a spreadsheet.
